Trustee Becker sole trustee to vote on the proposal when Trustees Dills and Logue abstain
The Union Township Board of Trustees approved a zoning amendment that moves forward a new commercial development project which includes retail, restaurants and entertainment.
The board approved the zoning map amendment during its meeting on Aug. 20, on a vote of 1-0.
The amendment changes five parcels along Glen Este-Withamsville Road from residential to planned development.
The Union Township, Clermont County Community Interest Company (CIC), Inc. plans to develop the property, which is planned to include Bad Tom Smith Brewery, Works Pizza, By Golly’s, and more.
A zoning map amendment was approved by the township’s zoning commission during its meeting on July 24, and when it came time for the board of trustees to vote on the amendment on Aug. 20, two of the three township trustees — Joe Dills and Michael Logue, recused themselves.
