HAMILTON — The Loveland Little League season started strong for the 12U team but ended on a sour note.

Loveland finished the Majors season with a 2-2 record, losing to tournament host West Side twice to eliminate it from contention July 10. West Side advances to Boardman near Akron for the state Little League 12U tournament. The district title was West Side’s 40th Ohio District 9 tournament championship. It advances July 19 to Boardman. The winner of that tournament will advance to Williamsport for the Little League World Series.

Loveland advanced to July 8 to play host West Side, falling 14-0, but the tri-county team bounced back July 9 by eliminating Mariemont 22-1.
