With 2025 underway, the Clermont Chamber of Commerce is proud to present our Legislative Agenda, outlining the policies and priorities that will shape our region’s economic growth and business success. This year, we welcome new representation in Congress and the U.S. Senate, creating an opportunity to strengthen relationships with our elected officials and ensure that Clermont County’s business community has a strong voice in policymaking.
Our agenda focuses on three core priorities:
Supporting Workforce Development – Businesses continue to face workforce shortages, and we must invest in education, training, and talent pipelines to ensure a skilled labor force. The Chamber supports expanding trade and technical education, strengthening partnerships between businesses and schools, and ensuring higher education remains accessible and aligned with high-demand industries like AI, manufacturing, and healthcare.
Maintaining a Business-Friendly Climate – Economic growth depends on a fair and competitive business environment. The Chamber advocates for tax reforms that reduce burdens on employers, regulatory policies that encourage entrepreneurship, and property tax policies that support both businesses and local services without excessive costs.
Expanding Access to Vital Resources – Thriving businesses need access to infrastructure, broadband, healthcare, and public transportation. The Chamber supports strategic investments that improve broadband connectivity in rural areas, expand public transportation options, and ensure affordable healthcare access for a stronger, more productive workforce.
By actively engaging with policymakers at the local, state, and federal levels, the Chamber works to advance policies that drive economic success. Advocacy is not just about influencing decisions—it’s about building partnerships that help businesses grow, create jobs, and keep Clermont County competitive.
In addition to our top priorities, we are closely monitoring key legislative issues, including supporting the full implementation of the Fair School Funding Act to ensure equitable education funding, expanding workforce development grants, and advocating for property tax relief that protects businesses and homeowners alike.
The strength of our local economy depends on collaboration and engagement. When businesses, community leaders, and policymakers work together, we create an environment where innovation thrives, businesses expand, and residents prosper. The Chamber remains committed to ensuring that Clermont County continues to be a place where businesses succeed, families flourish, and opportunities grow.
The full 2025 Legislative Agenda, along with additional details and ways to contact your elected officials, is available on the Chamber’s website. We encourage all business and community members to stay informed, get involved, and be a part of shaping a stronger future for our region.
Together, we can ensure Clermont County remains a great place to live, work, and do business.
