What in your background qualifies you to serve in this position?

I’m not a career politician. I think we have enough of those. The country has become a dumpster fire at this point and rather then us working to fix things we become children and finger point. Enough of that. We have work to do if we are going to fix the mistakes of the past 30 years. I’m not out to get famous, I don’t come from a family name or money. But I give you my word that I will throw myself into this job. I’ll be active in the communities as well as the state. Maybe if our elected officials listened more things wouldn’t be in the shape they are now.

Why are you running for this position?

I’m running for the State Senate because my generation is up. We have people that spend 20, 30, 40 years in the government and they wined up losing touch with the people who put them in. They start to listen exclusively to their party or who ever cuts the biggest check. Now my generation and the one after me aren’t looking at a good future. I’m going into this to fix things. If that means making people mad in order to fix the state, then so be it. We need to focus on the economy, poverty, education, drugs, human trafficking, corruption, and mental health. We need more business here. People want to work.

What is your platform?

My platform is I’m a low class worker tired of the lies and corruption. And to the people who say “You can’t change that.” That is the excuse of weak people who are willing to sacrifice their liberties just so they be left alone. I’m not that guy. As I stated before, if I gotta make people mad to fix things then so be it.

What are the most pressing issues facing Clermont County that come before someone who is elected to the position you seek?

When I’m knocking on doors talking to people the most pressing matters are industry, economy, and a few social issues. Not as many as people think. But they do come up. This district is mostly rural with small cities and large towns through it. So I hear such a mix of things. What is important to one person may differ from what their neighbor thinks. But that’s what my job is. To find a way to make it work for both or at least, as many people as possible.

If elected, what would you seek to enhance and improve Clermont County?

I have some ideas. I want to institute a policy I read in the economic book “Progress and Poverty” If a person owns a building or land within city or town limits and it sits empty. Then every year they do nothing with it their taxes go up. Either rent it out, turn it into a home or business, or sell it. Do not kill a community because you use it as a tax write off. I also want to try and get more money into people’s pockets as well as lower interest rates. We need to make it easier for people to take loans on cars and homes. The American Dream can live if we get off our rears and fix the things the paid for politicians and the “Gangs” who own them have messed up in order to make a quick buck.
