The 2024 sales tax holiday will be extended this year to 10 days.

The extended 2024 sales tax holiday will be held from 12:00 a.m. on July 30 through 11:59 p.m. on August 8.

The sales tax holiday was put into place to help families who are purchasing items for children for the upcoming school year.

To qualify for the 2024 sales tax holiday, items must be tangible personal property priced at $500 or less.

There is no restriction on the total purchase amount, as eligibility is individually assessed item by item. Sales of dine-in food at restaurants are included.

Taxable services, titled watercraft, motor vehicles, alcoholic beverages, tobacco, vapor products, and items containing marijuana are not included.
