Jimmy B’s Sports Bar and Grill, located at 606 Ohio Pike, located in Union Township, will be honoring disabled veterans with an agreement with Disabled American Veterans (DAV) Chapter #63 (Clermont County).
Starting on December 11, 2023, and for every second Monday of the month, disabled veterans from Chapter #63 will be at Jimmy B’s Bar Sports and Grill to meet patrons of the restaurant from 5:00 p.m to 9:00 p.m.
Jimmy B’s Manager, Chris Damen, himself a United States Marine Corps veteran, has pledged to support disabled veterans by donating a portion of all food purchases that night to Chapter #63 to continue their excellent support programs for veterans.
In addition to the meet and greet opportunity, Chapter #63 will provide a certified Chapter Service Officer (CSO) to discuss any veterans’ disability compensation claim and to schedule a subsequent appointment with the veteran.
Manager Damen, reviewed the Chapter’s last Annual Financial Report (AFR) prior to the agreement and noted that the Clermont County Chapter had provided $22,215.86 in direct services to veterans in our area.
“Our Chapter was engaged in many programs and projects to directly benefit disabled veterans,” explained Chapter Commander Steve Smith.
“From replacing outdoor steps in Owensville and Batavia, to our highly successful Medical Equipment Distribution Program to our support of PTSD Equine Therapy in Amelia, we are trying to make a difference for our disabled veterans,” added Commander Smith.
The Chapter pledged to Jimmy B’s Sports Bar and Grill to be good stewards of any donations received and report back on a quarterly basis on what services were provided to our disabled veterans.
“All are welcome to visit with our disabled veterans every second Monday of the month at Jimmy B’s Sports Bar and Grill from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm,” concluded Smith.
