Some people don’t quite understand what it takes to be a Collegiate athlete. The dedication, the will to fight through ups and downs, the willingness to be coached, I could go on all day. For former three-sport New Richmond star Jack Moore, this required commitment comes second nature.
Moore, a two-time all-state football selection is now a Freshman Defensive Back at Georgetown College. In his eyes, a large part of his success can be attributed to the habits and work ethic that his coaches instilled upon him during his time at New Richmond. “My first 3 years my head coach was Patrick Burke, him and my position coach for those 3 years Richard Mahan really taught me a lot as a football player and as a man.” Moore also credits his teammates for his undeniable work ethic stating “The Senior class I was a part of, we all pushed each other to be better every day, especially a couple main guys like: Cooper Tidball, Tanner Skaggs, Aj Metzger, Billy Foster, and Austin Elam. I believe that them and the team being so competitive and pushing me and everyone else around them to be better in all aspects was a main thing that helped me prepare to compete at the college level.”
