It’s time for the Fair again. Yea!!! I’ve written before about the fair. I am a member of the First Baptist Church of Owensville. The church has parked cars for as long as I can remember. Donations only. We always wonder if we are gonna be able to park cars once again. Back field must be laid out in lanes and mowed. The front yard must be roped off for members only. Donation cans must be set up. We need to get ready!

There has to be a few people to show cars where to go and where to park. Takes a lot of work and time. We are usually very busy especially if there is something exciting going on in the fairgrounds.

If you come to the Fair-park with us-stop and say hello. The best part of parking cars is the people we meet. I talked to Mr. Rooks right outside the door a few years ago. I always miss the Shoes’. They were daily visitors, parked with us walked over and then sat on a bench in front of the main building and talked with all their friends who stopped by. If you live in the Owensville-Batavia area all your friends will be at the fair. Great place for a date! I have told you about my future husband leaving me waiting at the fair while he played cards at The 50 Club! Lots of happy memories of Fair time.

This year looks good. Tractor pulls-demolition derby-rodeo-great acts are scheduled at the Lykins Pavilion. Craig Morgan will be performing at 8 p.m. on Friday night. Great singer-great veteran; look him up-get your tickets.

I always couldn’t wait to see the Joie Chitwood thrill show- remember those cars on 2 wheels? Look him up. Very Interesting. What did we do before computers to look up stuff?

You must get ready and prepare yourself. You do that by seeing the Stonelick Township Firefighter Parade! It starts at 1:00 p.m. Sunday the 24th. Bring a seat and bring your kids. Give them a bag and let them pick up the candy! You will see floats-clowns-The King and queen-and lots of firetrucks !!

My Granddaughters are showing their goats. Good Luck Girls!

I hope ya’all will come to the Fair. It is a great part of our wonderful Clermont County. Maybe I’ll see you if you park at the church on St Rt 132 .

Eat a hotdog-get a snowcone-win a goldfish-ride a merry-go-round!

God Bless !!
