The Clermont County Veterans Service Commission is sponsoring their 2nd Annual Veterans and Family Picnic on Saturday, July 23rd, from 11 AM to 4 PM at the Batavia Township Community Center, 1535 Clough Pike. Frank Morrow, Executive Director commented, “after a two-year delay because of Covid-19, The Clermont County VSO is excited to offer this free event again. We wanted to extend our appreciation to all veterans and their families and show them the community thanks all of them for their many sacrifices.”

Free food and drinks for all attendees will include hotdogs, chips, and popcorn. In addition, children of veterans will receive free ice cream. This event promises to provide fun for the entire family. A kid’s fishing tournament will be ongoing from 11 to 4. Frank said, “If you have a fishing pole bring it. We will have some kids poles to give away and all the bait will be provided. The fun doesn’t stop with fishing. Kids should wear their swimsuits to compete in the water obstacle course.”

A picnic would not be complete without live music. From 12 to 3 the Naked Karate Girls will be performing live for everyone’s enjoyment. As Cincinnati’s #1 party band they are sure to entertain all ages with a variety of music genres.

In addition to all the fun, there will be free giveaways and local Veterans organizations will be on hand to talk with veterans. The VSO will also have information available about Veterans benefits.
