Howdy folks—You don’t know what kind of livestock we have in Clermont County close to our homes. I was lucky to find the goat farm close to Bethel. I put a phone number in for them a couple weeks ago but I think I was missing some numbers. Their phone number is 513–465–3259.

I went out to the farm last week to see the girls milk the goats. The girl that is 14 had eight goats to put the milkers on. She put feed in their feed box at their stalls then let them in. The goats went to their station where they are milked. After they are done being milked, Jenna opened the gate and they went back to the rest of the goats. Then Hannah got her a group of goats ready to be milked. They filed in and went to their milking station then she put feed in their feed box and cleaned their utters and milked them. Then she opened the gate and they went back to the pen with the rest of the goats. Then Elizabeth got the rest of the herd to be milked. They milk 30 goats. When she was done, they went through the gate to the rest of the herd. Then they got some animal cookies and to give each goat.

These three young ladies take care of goats, sheep and rabbits. They sure made me think about the time my brother Frank and I were growing up. We were raised on a farm. We milked cows and fed hogs, chickens, and horses and to see these young ladies working like this sure brought back memories. Of course, their mom and dad are there to help if they need it. I will go back to their farm again. Counting the baby goats ,they have 94. That is a lot of work for the young ladies to take care of.

Now I was at a craft show over at the Methodist Church at Owensville and got to meet a young lady and her daughter that have an alpaca farm close to the Grants Farm and Greenhouse. This was great. I have been wanting to find one so here it is in Clermont County. Their farm is at 5636 Bucktown Rd., Williamsburg, OH 45176. Their telephone number is 513–505-5831. I haven’t had a chance to go to their farm but I hope to get over there before long. They told me they have three alpacas that will be having a little one next year. It takes a while for this to happen.

Last week Paula and I met Mort and Barb over at the Feedmill in Felicity. Ruth Ann and I met these folks when we went through a program on Clermont County so now Paula and I are special friends to the folks. The meal was good.

Talked to Mike at the Boars Head Bait Shop and he said the fishing is good with lots of crappie, bass, stripers, bluegills and other fish being caught. He said there has been a report of a fish kill over at the Army Corps ramp. This is something that happens every once in a while. I haven’t seen this yet.

Now Mr. Chester and Miss Chessie are getting along pretty good. They both like to sleep on my bed during the day.  They share one can of cat food each morning along with plenty of dry cat food. The dry food has to be of a certain kind for them to eat it of course.

Mark your calendar for the first Bethel Lions Club pancake breakfast of the fall on November 9, starting at 7:30 AM till 10:30 AM. We will be serving juice, sausage, and pancakes – all you can eat for $5 for adults and $3 for kids 12 and younger. The breakfast will be at the Bethel high school. Come and get some good food.

Start your week by going to the house of worship of your choice and praising the good Lord.

God bless all . . .
