The Williamsburg Garden Club, in existence since 1936, is a group of approximately 40 women and men from Williamsburg and surrounding communities that meet monthly to learn about horticulture and gardening.
They have several fundraisers each year and in turn they help to beautify the town of Williamsburg. The Club decided a few months ago to plant a tree in memory and honor of the fallen detective. The tree is a swamp oak tree which was planted in early May by Chris Daeger, a Garden Club member and owner of B.C. Nursery. The tree was purchased from Bourne Nursery. The tree was recently dedicated at the Williamsburg High School with Club members, family members and friends in attendance. In the future, when the children of this school and other community members see this tree and plaque they will think of Bill and the wonderful legacy that he has left behind. He touched many lives during his short time here on earth. Pictured are Kevin Dunn, Williamsburg Elementary School Principal and Sherri Kissinger, Garden Club President.
