The 36th Clermont Northeastern Senior Citizens Luncheon was held on December 10, 2014.
The luncheon this year was sponsored by Merchants National Bank.
The senior citizen luncheon was started by Mrs. Beamer, a former elementary principal, in 1979. Wayne Johnson and Lori Diekmann organize and gather prizes for the seniors. The prizes each year are donated from a number of businesses in the area and include microwaves, toaster ovens, crock pots, golf games, and gift cards.
This year the entertainment was the Clermont Northeastern Jazz Band, under the direction of Chris Moore and the Clermont Northeastern Select Choir, under the direction of Rocco Contini.
The entertainment was a huge success. The lunch was prepared by the Clermont Northeastern Food Service, and students from the High school and the Middle school helped serve.
