Union Township Trustees set the dates for spring junk days during their March 13 meeting.
This year’s event will be held April 28-May 3 at the township service department, located at 4321 Glen Este-Withamsville Road.
The hours for junk days are 7 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday and 8 a.m.- 3 p.m. on Saturday.
Trustee Matthew Beamer said the event is popular for residents.
“Township residents are able to bring unwanted items-junk-to the service department,” Beamer said. “There are various dumpsters and trucks to receive the items.”
Junk can include furniture, appliances, clothing and other items. Items not accepted include tires, batteries, insulation, paint, yard waste or hazardous waste.
Beamer said the township works with a crew doing community service to collect the junk.
“It’s quite an event,” he said.
