An Adams County man suspected in a double murder was apprehended in Bethel Feb. 27, the morning after the crime was committed.
Nicholas Wolke was identified as a suspect in the murder of two from Adams County, one identified as his ex-wife, and was apprehended by the Clermont County Sheriff’s Office and Bethel Police Department without incident in the home of an acquaintance.
“We had a lead he might be coming here, and had a few locations where he might be,” said Sheriff Tim Rodenberg. “We happened to find him, and the Bethel Police were most helpful in this. They assisted in the finding and apprehension of him in Bethel.”
Sheriff Rodenberg said that a few tips came in from various sources suggesting that the suspect may be either passing through or staying in Clermont County. At first, said Sheriff Rodenberg, there were several possible spots identified for Wolke to be found in, but without much searching, the suspect was found at 223 East Osborne Street in Bethel.
