We’re excited to welcome Michelle Housh and Kevin Thomas, our new assistant principals at the high school and middle school.

Michelle Housh – Assistant Principal at Bethel-Tate High School

Housh has been an intervention specialist helping students in the classroom for over 10 years. Last year, she co-taught Algebra and Government classes at Bethel-Tate High School. Now, she’s stepping into her new role as Assistant Principal.

Before becoming a teacher, Housh spent 12 years as a stay-at-home mom raising her three sons. Today, they’re 15, 18, and 20 years old. Outside of school, Housh lives on a cattle farm with her husband of 22 years. When she’s not at school, she loves cheering on her boys, hiking, and gardening.

Housh holds an undergraduate degree in English Literature with a Philosophy minor (2006) from Northern Kentucky University, a Master’s in Education with a focus in Special Education (2012) from Xavier University, and, most recently, a Post-Master’s Certificate in Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (2024), also from Xavier University.

Mr. Kevin Thomas – Assistant Principal at Bethel-Tate Middle School

Thomas brings over 20 years of experience in education, most of it spent in the Lakota Local School District as a teacher, assistant principal, principal, and basketball coach. He earned his undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from Wilmington College, where he also played basketball, and later received his Master’s in Educational Leadership from Concordia University in Chicago.

Originally from Cincinnati and a Milford High School graduate, Thomas is excited to join a district that values community, connection, and teamwork. He lives with his wife, Maria, a nurse anesthetist, and their two sons, Gabe, a high school soccer player, and Luke, who’s entering 7th grade and plays lacrosse.

Outside of school, he enjoys traveling, watching sports (especially the Bengals and Liverpool FC), and spending time with family, friends, and their two Labradors, Jersey and Joey.
