New Fire Chief announced
Longtime Bethel-Tate Fire Department Chief Richard Stowell retired July 31.
Stowell served the residents of Tate Twp. and the village of Bethel for 46 years.
The department held a retirement celebration for Stowell on July 31.
On Aug. 1, the fire department shared news that Chris Cooper had been named as the new fire chief.
Cooper has been a member of the department since 1991 and held the rank of Assistant Chief until Stowell retired.
Cooper is a lifetime resident of Tate Twp. and a 1990 Graduate of Bethel-Tate Local Schools.
