Joseph R. Burch, 78, passed away on February 25, 2024, surrounded by his loved ones in the Cincinnati home that he built. Joe was a kind and hard-working family man. A loving father of eight children, he enjoyed working in the yard, watching his kids play sports, and teaching his grandkids everything he knew, especially how to be good people. Talented and resourceful, Joe had a great sense of humor and was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need.

Joe was born on October 18, 1945, to Joseph Wilshire and Catherine Ann Burch. A native of Cincinnati, he was raised in O’Bryonville and attended Holy Angels grade school then graduated from Central High School. He became a trailer mechanic for O.K. Trucking, and Hilltop COncrete, retiring at the age of 65. For those who had the privilege of knowing and loving Joe, they will miss him beyond measure.

To carry on his legacy, he leaves behind his devoted wife Patricia and eight children and their families: Terri Burch, Kim (Sean) White, Kelly (Ben) Buczak, Joe (Marci) Burch, Matt (Megan) Burch, Trisha (Ryan) Kayser, Tracye (Ryan) Renner and Marc (Elise) Burch, as well as his 17 grandchildren of whom he was so proud: Austin, Taylor, Drew, Merina, Cameron, Kendall, Kellen, Cooper, Carson, Grady, Chase, Campbell, Landon, Leela, Nolan, Jack, and Jude. Joe is survived by his brother Stanley (Roseann) Burch; his brother-in-law Bill Zoller, many beloved nieces and nephews, and dear friend, Jerry Nesbitt; he was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Catherine, and sisters Carol Zoller and Barbara Hervey.

A celebration of life will be held in his honor, details to be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Alzheimer’s Association and/or attending a fundraising concert from Jay Allen’s Night of Hope Tour which will be at Riverfront Live in Cincinnati on March 23, 2024.
