While trying to decide what to write about, I got a little sidetracked. I went to visit my grands, Grace and Abbey, in Mt. Orab. You know that is not Clermont county. It is Brown County! It is a great drive east on state Route 32. A lot of fields, ponds, trees, and a lot to look at. It looks like Mt. Orab is getting ready for a big boom. Lots of fields have small yellow flags set close to the ground. You can tell they have been digging, or scraping, something.
Mt. Orab is a great town. Great restaurants. Good stores. You name it. The girls decided we needed to take a little trip. We did, to my favorite place in Mt. Orab, Orschelns! I love that place. They have all kinds of stuff for a farmer, big or small. Feed, bins, hoes, rakes, tools, seeds, etc. They also have great, great stuff. You know “stuff.” Little signs, decorating stuff, cups, trays, etc. They have food: jars of salsa, jelly, jam, soup, salami rolls, nuts, candy, and chips; they got it. The very best thing is the shirts. They always have some great tees to wear for fun. They also carry great clothes for guys and ladies, Carhart for one. They carry all kinds of clothes for hunting and fishing. Oh yeah, they got fishing gear. Yoame it. It is a great place to spend time looking and if you are like me, buying! I got two great shirts with chickens on ‘em. LOL! Oh, yeah, they have garden furniture:: benches, chairs, umbrellas, and yard decorations. Geez.
The workers are always friendly and helpful. Ready to answer questions. Just a lot of fun. My grands of course go to Western Brown, you know, the Broncos. Anyway, Mt. Orab is a good place to visit. Nice drive, with nice people; a great store. On their receipts under their name, it says “family values.”
I hope you are not mad ‘cause I went to Brown County. Clermont is still my fav’! Be good to yourselves. God Bless!
