Goshen Township is planning for a robust upcoming road resurfacing program.

Recently, the township shared news on social media that the Goshen Township Board of Trustees received a grant from the Ohio Public Works Commission to help pay for the township’s annual road resurfacing program.

The township trustees also approved using stimulus funds from the American Rescue Plan to do what township leaders are calling, “the largest quantity in cost and road miles of resurfacing in township history.”

The combined funds, added to the Goshen Township Gas Tax, will be used to resurface almost one million dollars in roads.

The investment equals some four-years of normal road resurfacing projects.

The information shared reads that the township resurfaces about $200,000 to $250,000 of roads, depending on available funding, which fluctuates year to year.

The roads set to be re-surfaced are:

– Thompson Road.

– Gibbs Road.

– Gaynor Road.

– E. Huntley Road.

– W. Huntley Road.

– Moler Road.
