State Senator Terry Johnson spent Friday, March 5, 2021, with the Clermont Chamber of Commerce visiting with local businesses, elected officials, and community stakeholders.

Senator Johnson participated in a workforce and education roundtable with Jeff Weir, Superintendent of the Clermont County Educational Service Center, and Harry Snyder, President and CEO of Great Oaks Career Campuses, where they discussed work-ready initiatives and issues facing local school districts.

Senator Johnson also met with local Union Township Trustee and fellow veteran Michael Logue to talk about the needs of local governments and veterans’ issues. On the way to a visit at Mercy Hospital Clermont, Senator Johnson also stopped by the Clermont County government building to catch-up with some elected officials and learn more about the needs of Clermont County citizens and small businesses.

“We were delighted to host Senator Johnson for a full day here in Clermont County. We are very fortunate to have a strong champion of small business and local government in the State Senate, which was demonstrated during our visits throughout the county,” said Director of Government Affairs Andrew McAfee.

Senator Johnson was appointed to represent the 14th District in the Ohio Senate in 2019 and was elected to his first full term in 2020. He is currently the Chair of the Workforce and Higher Education Committee, Vice Chair of the Veterans & Public Safety Committee, and a member of the Health Committee.

“I have spent my time in public service as a strong advocate for small businesses and local government,” said Senator Johnson. “I was thrilled to spend the day with the Clermont Chamber and look forward to a strong relationship in the future advocating for our communities.”

Andrew and the Chamber are looking forward to working alongside Senator Johnson and the rest of the local General Assembly delegation to advocate for Clermont Chamber members and make a positive impact in the Clermont community.
