A 9-year-old was killed in a two-vehicle crash in Stonelick Township on Oct. 19, according to the Batavia Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred at 6:35 p.m. on state Route 132 near Anstaett Road.
Helena Taft, 25, of Loveland, was driving south on SR 132 and Sean Harmon, 34, of Milford, was coming north on SR 132.
Taft traveled to the left of center while going around a curve and hit Harmons’ vehicle head-on. Harmon’s vehicle was propelled to the right shoulder into a guardrail.
Taft reported minor injuries, and was treated at the scene by Stonelick Township EMS.
Harmon was taken to Bethesda North Hospital by EMS with serious injuries.
Police said Harmon’s passenger, a 9-year-old, was pronounced dead at the scene.
At this time, police don’t believe alcohol or drugs are a factor in the crash, and all occupants involved were using seat belts.
The Ohio Department of Transportation, Clermont County Sheriff’s Office, Owensville Police Department as well as the Stonelick Township EMS and Fire Department provided assistance during the incident.
The crash remains under investigation by the Batavia Post.
