Tab Vincent Stricker, 66, died Sunday, December 15, 2019. His body was recovered in Lake Cumberland where he had been apparently working on the community boat dock.
He was born August 13, 1953 in Cincinnati, OH. He graduated from Amelia High School in 1971. After graduating college, he went to work for Small Business Data Processing in Cincinnati and left in 2006 after serving the company for over 30 years. He moved to Monticello, KY on Lake Cumberland, his favorite place of recreation and built his home there. He worked for the Army Corps of Engineers maintaining the lake and for Tarter Contracting, Somerset, KY.
He became the “go to” person for home remodeling and building projects for many in the Lake Cumberland community as well as for many family members and friends.
In high school, he was a member of “Amelia Jazz Ensemble” where he played the trombone.
Tab is survived by his four children and seven grandchildren, daughter, Tara (Sean) Hansen Wilson and their children, Joe and Carly; son, Kyle (Cassie) Stricker and their children, Isaac and Ethan; son, Chris (Erica) Hansen and their children, Maxwell, Levi and Auggie Bear; and daughter, Lori Hansen. Also survived by his sister, Robin (Don) Stricker Carnahan; Jerry (Pamela) Stricker; Mitchell (Debbie) Stricker; Tawna Stricker Hill; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation for Tab was held at E.C. Nurre Funeral Home (Amelia, OH) on Monday December 23, 2019 from 9:00 AM until time of services at 11:00 AM. Interment at Mt. Moriah Cemetery.
