On September 6, 2017, Felicity-Franklin FFA held its first meeting of the school year with over 85 members present.
This year’s officers introduced themselves as well as the school’s new FFA advisor, Joe Broadwell.
A few older students presented quick facts about a Greenhand they knew to let the new members begin to integrate and work with the older members.
Many students demonstrated their leadership abilities by choosing to make motions for the student body to vote on.
These motions included: holding the annual mum sales, sending students to Ronald McDonald House to serve lunch to a group of children and families who need help from Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center for illness, taking a trip to National FFA Convention in October, working booths at Felicity’s Gourd Festival, and hosting the annual Fall Feast.
All of these motions were passed and will present great opportunities for the chapter’s many members.
