Under the guidance of instructor Kim Caudill, the students prepared for positions as administrative assistants, receptionists, medical and dental record clerks, or a myriad of other office positions where their new skills could shine.
In addition to providing technical computer skills, this program includes job-seeking skills, résumé writing and preparation, and the opportunity to receive Microsoft Office Specialist Certifications. Students in the program passed 17 total Microsoft Office Specialist Certifications in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Access. Congratulations on obtaining industry credentials!
At the Commencement Ceremony, 2014 graduate Sarah Ellis spoke to the class and gathered friends and family members about her success on the job at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. Ms. Ellis shared with the audience how the many that the skills she obtained at Grant were instrumental to her success on the job at Children’s Hospital.
Graduates in the Computerized Business and Medical Applications Program received their Career Passports from Superintendent Dr. Lisa Tuttle-Huff. The Class of 2015 includes Jessica Rose Brunk, Pepper Lynn Ellert, Denise Guinn, Barbara J. Hudson, and April H. Stammen.
Registrations are currently being accepted for the next session of the newly redesigned Medical Office Technology program which will begin in August 2015 and run through May 2016.
The curriculum will include Microsoft Applications, Medical Terminology, Anatomy, Insurance Coding, Medical Office Simulation Software, QuickBooks, Business English, Job Preparation Skills, Keyboarding, Back Office Procedures, and First Aid and CPR Training. Adult students will be able to gain certifications in Microsoft Office Specialist, QuickBooks User, and CPR BLS
A $50 non-refundable registration fee will secure your place in the class. Financial assistance is available for qualified applicants in the form of PELL Grants and agency assistance. Applicants must have a high school diploma or a GED to attend.
