Milford names new athletic physician

McClung

Dr. Glen McClung has already made an impression as the new athletic physician for Milford High School.

The Beacon Orthopaedics surgeon fitted the entire coaching staff with a new pair of shoes from Fleet Feet in time for the 2025 season, he said.

“It was a cool thing,” McClung said. “Having the opportunity to cover Milford and to be a part of their program, I am incredibly excited about it.”

The school announced on July 28 via the social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, that McClung would serve as the new orthopaedic team physician, effective Aug. 1. Milford is one of many schools McClung has served, drawing on his more than two decades of experience in the medical field.

McClung is a board-certified and fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon and sports medicine doctor who holds clinics near Clermont County, including Beacon East in Anderson, Beacon Summit Woods in Sharonville and Northern Kentucky Beacon in Erlanger. He specializes in sports medicine and treatment of elbow, hip, knee and shoulder injuries, including fractures, according to his profile on Beacon’s website.
