LOVELAND — History was made for Loveland boys lacrosse.
The decade-plus-old and successful program celebrated its 300th game all-time as a Division I team April 16 against Eastern Cincinnati Conference foe Walnut Hills at Tiger Stadium.
The Tigers won the game handily, 17-3, to snap a three-game skid.
Former players, parents and friends of Loveland lacrosse were invited, and about a dozen were on hand to view the halftime ceremony.
During halftime, current and former players, former head coach Mike Werner, and Mike Riggall, the current head coach at Loveland, stood at midfield to pose, holding up a sign to honor the program’s 300th game as a Division I team under the Ohio High School Lacrosse Association and the Ohio High School Athletic Association guidance.
