My name is Adam Bird and I am running for the Ohio House of Representatives, District 66 and I respectfully ask for your vote. I am a Christian, a Conservative, and a Republican. I have been a Republican since I was a teenager and have always voted in Republican primaries.
Adam Bird, candidate for Ohio’s 66th House District.
Liberals across our state and nation are constantly attacking our constitutional freedoms and it is important that we elect representatives that reflect the conservative mindset of the communities in District 66. I believe that I am that candidate that can faithfully communicate the conservative attitudes, mindset, and sentiment that is prevalent across District 66. I can consistently communicate this area’s conservatism because I was raised in Clermont County and I am a product of the communities in both Clermont and Brown County having worked in both counties. I am a product of this community because I have been a farm hand, I have worked construction, I have worked as a teacher/principal/superintendent, and I have been a faithful church member in our community.
In positions of educational leadership over the last 20 years, I have a proven track record of being financially conservative with the public’s money (protecting the public’s money is not easy because many want a piece of it), of being a listening/collaborative leader (I worked with 12 Board of Education members and three Treasurers in nine years of Superintendency), of communicating with the public (even when the message might not be well received), and serving in our community (Adult Bible Fellowship Leader, volunteering in community cleanups, and coaching youth sports).
I have also served our community in the following ways: Member of the Clermont County Public Library Board of Trustees, Clermont County’s representative to the Southwest Ohio Instructional Technology Association, Clermont County’s representative to the Unified Purchasing Cooperative of the Ohio River Valley, President of the Southern Buckeye Academic and Athletic Conference, Representative to the Hamilton Clermont Cooperative Information Technology Center, and I have served on statewide Public School Superintendent committees on the Ohio High School Athletic Association and on School District Report Cards.
As a product of this community, if elected to represent both Brown and Clermont Counties in Columbus, I will fight to protect the Unborn, protect the 2nd Amendment, protect our school children from Over-testing, protect funding for Counties/Townships/Villages/Schools, protect Traditional Family Values, protect Merit-Based Immigration, and support First Responders. I will fight for the return of the Local Government Fund that has been stripped from our villages and townships. I will fight for the Eastern Cincinnati Bypass that will bring economic development to District 66.
As a product of this community, it is important that our next Representative conduct themselves with integrity, work ethic, compassion, intelligence, dignity and professionalism. I humbly submit that I will continue to strive for these characteristics and I ask for your vote on March 17, 2020.
