This week’s Athlete of the Week is Williamsburg junior KK Pollitt
From May 12 to 18, Pollitt recorded at least two hits and drove in two runs during a four-game stretch.
Pollitt batted 5-for-5 with a double and a home run, four runs scored and four RBIs in the Wildcats’ win over East Clinton. Pollitt also finished 3-for-3 with two triples, three runs scored and three RBIs in her team’s 12-8 victory over Clermont Northeastern.
Pollitt drove in three runs and hit a triple in a win May 12 over Madeira and finished 2-for-3 with a double, two walks, three runs scored and two RBIs in a win May 18 over Blanchester. She ended the season with a six-game hit streak.
Pollitt finished her junior season with 44 hits, 40 runs scored, 49 RBIs, a .587 average, 10 doubles, three triples and nine home runs — all career highs. She recorded her 100th hit and drove in her 100th run this season.
