On July 29, Clermont County Prosecutor Mark J. Tekulve announced that a Clermont County jury has returned a guilty verdict in the case of State v. Charlie Theaderman.

On July 25, 2025, after a five-day jury trial prosecuted by Assistant Prosecutors Christina Dattilo and Zachary Zipperer, Charlie Theaderman was found guilty of 93 felony charges, including Rape, Gross Sexual Imposition, Sexual Battery, Pandering in Sexually Oriented Matter Involving a Minor and Tampering with Evidence.

Although Theaderman had recorded every single sexual abuse act he was charged with, the case went to a trial that was heard by 12 citizens of Clermont County. All of the disturbing sexual assault videos were played during the trial. Additionally, Theaderman made the decision to represent himself at trial, which resulted in the victim having to not only face, but directly answer to her abuser when she testified. The victim held strong against questioning from the very person who committed all these horrific crimes against her.

The Union Township Police Department did an impressive job investigating this case, and their tireless pursuit of evidence helped ensure Theaderman was convicted.

It is unknown as to whether he will represent himself at his sentencing, which will be held on Aug. 26 at 1:30 p.m. Theaderman faces over 450 years in prison.

“To the victim in this case, your bravery and strength is truly remarkable. We wish you the best as you begin to heal from this nightmare. My sincerest thank you goes out to the citizens of Clermont County who served as jurors and had to watch the horrific acts of rape against this juvenile,” Mark J. Tekulve, Clermont County Prosecutor.
