Milford Robotics is proud to announce that two of its middle school teams, Team 98992C – Captain Crunchers and Team 98992A – Apollo, have officially qualified for the 2025 VEX Robotics World Championship, the premier global competition for student robotics teams. The event will bring together the best young engineers from around the world to compete and collaborate in Dallas, Texas this spring.

At the 2025 Ohio VEX V5 Middle School State Championship, held earlier this month, both Milford teams demonstrated outstanding skill, creativity, and determination.

Team 98992C – Captain Crunchers, consisting of Mae Oppenheimer, Leo Oppenheimer, Cooper Warden, Riley Slemons, Ella Campbell, and Jake Wang, earned their Worlds invitation by finishing as Tournament Semifinalists alongside Loveland Middle School’s Team 97310C – Cavemen Lawyers. Their season-long performance has also been impressive:

– World Skills Ranking: 652 of 2,840 (Top 23%)

– U.S. Skills Ranking: 402 of 2,215 (Top 18%)

– Ohio Skills Ranking: 10 of 123 (Top 8%)

Team 98992A – Apollo, composed of Jessica Dietrich, Ava Lockwood, Wesley Davidson, Ryan Peplow, and Rajit Samant, secured their spot at the World Championship by earning the prestigious Excellence Award and finishing as Tournament Finalists.

– World Skills Ranking: 274 of 2,840 (Top 10%)

– U.S. Skills Ranking: 148 of 2,215 (Top 7%)

– Ohio Skills Ranking: 4 of 123 (Top 3%)
