Edward Kirk Pregitzer
July 15, 1951 – January 18, 2025
Edward Pregitzer spent 35 years as a Marketing teacher extraordinaire for Great Oaks working at Great Oaks campuses and Milford High School in Cincinnati, Ohio. Ed’s work went beyond the classroom—he taught real life skills as well as serving as a mentor to students pursuing various marketing fields. Many of his students found success and scholarships through competitive events at Marketing Education (DECA) conferences. Ed was instrumental in launching many students’ successful careers. Students knew too that they could count on him to guide them through difficult or puzzling times. Besides being an excellent teacher,r Ed had a wonderful sense of humor. Ed shared his professional expertise coordinating local, state, and national teacher conferences. Upon retiring from teaching, he worked for Great Oaks as a supervisor of Marketing teachers.
Ed enjoyed traveling with his wife, Terri. They particularly enjoyed national parks, especially Mackinaw Island. He also was an avid photographer.
After moving to Northern Michigan in 2014, Ed developed Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP), an atypical Parkinsonian disorder. He will be sadly missed by many, but truly left an indelible legacy in education that continues today.
