The second half of Milford High School’s boys basketball season will have a familiar rhythm – Saturday, Tuesday, Friday, Tuesday, Friday, Tuesday, Friday, Tuesday, Friday, Tuesday, Friday, Wednesday. Twelve games – two per week for the final six weeks. A chance for the Eagles to develop consistency and hone their game for the sectional tournament that begins in late February.
Milford is used to such a schedule. The Eagles’ longest break without a game since the season began Dec. 3, 2024, has been seven days, from a Dec. 27, 2024, loss to La Salle at Xavier University’s Cintas Center in the Holiday Hardwood Classic to its 64-63 loss to Little Miami Jan. 3. Nine of the final 12 are against Eastern Cincinnati Conference opponents. Non-league games are Jan. 11 at Sycamore, Feb. 4 at Fenwick and Feb. 11 at Cincinnati Hills Christan Academy.
The Eagles went 3-5 overall and 1-4 in the ECC in the 2024 portion of the schedule and were 3-6/1-5 after the Little Miami game.
Third-year coach Brandon Baker was encouraged after the loss to La Salle, placing the first month into the perspective of annual roster turnover.
