Fields of Honor will return to Clermont County on No. 2. The Kiwanis Club of East Fork Region takes pride in honoring military veterans and first responders who have or are serving our nation and our communities making us safe and free. For the fourth year, Fields of Honor at four Clermont County locations will each be home to over 100 American flags honoring those who have served. The United States flag represents the spirit and resilience of a nation. It is a beacon of hope, a source of inspiration, and a reminder of the sacrifices made by many. The flag is a source of respect for those who have come before us and those who continue to serve.
The Kiwanis Club annually places these flags at four Clermont County locations. This year, they can be seen in Batavia at the Clermont Count Sheriff’s Office, in Bethel at the Bethel Tate Middle School, in Williamsburg at the Williamsburg Board of Education office, and in Union Township at the West Clermont High School.
They are places where parents can teach children about patriotism. Children can learn about respect for our flag and for the people who serve. Others can use these moments to reflect on what parents, grandparents and other relatives may have done for our nation and community.
Many of the flags are dedicated to specific individuals. If interested, dedications are still available by visiting www.eastforkkiwanis.org and click on the Flag Dedication Form.
