The Bethel-Tate Middle School Student Council is an energized group of 16 students – all focused on making a difference in the community while also having fun.

Even before the first quarter of the 2024-2025 school year concluded, this group, advised by teacher Robin Clift, organized and executed an impressive canned food drive to benefit Empower Youth. The end result was more than 500 items collected.

This isn’t a group inclined to rest on its laurels, however. Future projects are already in varying stages of planning.

For example, the Student Council hopes to soon launch its own podcast. As part of this project, Student Council Members will interview school staff, members of the community and more. It’s certain to be an insightful and entertaining project.

The BTMS Student Council also planned a Trunk-or-Treat event that was held at Bethel-Tate Middle School on Oct. 29.

The BTMS Student Council is focusing its attention on projects for the months ahead.
