The Milford Eagles looked poised to have a successful season after going 3-1 in their first four games.
Things haven’t gone as planned since, with the team now sitting at just 3-5 overall, losers of their last four. Their latest defeat came at the hands of the Kings Knights on Oct. 11.
The Knights simply didn’t mess around in this ballgame. They started the opening drive of the game at their twenty-yard line. RB Carson Lindholm took the first play from scrimmage all the way to the house to give his team the early lead.
After a stop on defense, the Knights’ offense went right back to work. They capped this drive off with a 25-yard TD pass from QB Grant Nurre to WR Nate Lyman. After a successful extra point, the Knights led 14-0 with 6:34 left in the first quarter.
