On August 25, 2024, at approximately 6: 10 a.m., the Union Township Communications Center received a call about an alarm at Sportsman’s Warehouse, located at 700 Eastgate South Drive. Officers immediately responded and, after investigation, found that individuals had used a stolen vehicle to crash into the building and steal numerous firearms. Upon arrival, an officer saw a white Hyundai leaving the area at a high rate of speed without headlights on. The suspect’s vehicle then crashed on Eastgate Blvd., and three occupants fled on foot and were apprehended by our officers. A fourth individual was identified as being involved in the offense and later located and apprehended. All four suspects are juveniles from the Cincinnati area and are now in custody at Clermont County Juvenile Detention Center. They are facing multiple charges, including theft of firearms from a federally licensed firearms dealer, which is a first-degree felony.

Similar offenses have been committed in other local areas, including Newtown, Miami Township, and Northern Kentucky. The apprehended suspects in our case are believed to be linked to each of these incidents. We extend our thanks to the Cincinnati Police Department, Hamilton County Sheriffs Office, Newtown, Miami Township, and the ATF for their assistance in this investigation. The ATF is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest of suspects responsible for breaking into two gun stores in Florence, KY.
