On May 9 at our monthly membership meeting, the Greater Milford Area Historical Society honored Tracy Lanham for her dedication, community giving, and love of our society.
Tracy passed away suddenly last year and left an empty spot in many hearts.
To honor Tracy’s memory, Tracy’s husband and two sons attended the dedication of a bench in a lovely garden spot at Promont Museum. Members and friends attended to share stories and memories of times with Tracy and her volunteer efforts in many areas of our community.
Along with Donna Amann, Tracy was instrumental in starting the GMAHS’s Art Affaire held the fourth Saturday of every September. This passion has grown from 14 artists, held on the grounds of Promont, to over 150 artists with approximately 10,000 visitors on the streets of historic Milford. She showed how an idea, along with effort and time, can lead to a lasting event for the community.
