At the Clermont Northeastern Senior Award Ceremony held on May 13th, the Clermont Northeastern Alumni Association awarded a record total of $20,000 in scholarships. Cathy Embry Meyer, a 1972 graduate of Clermont Northeastern announced the winners, presenting the scholarships to seven talented seniors including Breanna Berry, Ian Howser, Rylie Pence, Brianna Ruehl, Peter Schuler, Jocelyn Snider, and Chloe Vining. As Ms. Meyer noted, “Each applicant was outstanding and a joy to meet and it was with pride that the Clermont Northeastern Alumni Association can support them with their continued educational success.”
The Clermont Northeastern Alumni Association focuses on giving back to the community and assisting students to succeed. Their annual fundraiser includes an All-Alumni Celebration. This year’s celebration will be held on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at Norlyn Manor in Batavia. The event is open to those who attended, worked at, or graduated from Clermont Northeastern and their guests. Owensville High School alumni are also invited. The celebration includes dinner, silent auctions, and a share-the-pot raffle. The cost is $35 per person which includes dinner and dessert. Registration and payment are due by August 1, 2024, and should be mailed to the Clermont Northeastern Alumni Association, PO Box 511, Owensville, OH 45160.
Other fundraisers include a free Alumni Social on Friday, August 9, 2023, at Cedar Trace Golf Club with food available for purchase from Shannonigan’s Food Truck. For golfers, a golf scramble is scheduled for Friday, July 19, 2023, at Cedar Trace Golf Club. The cost of $300 for a 4-person team, includes 18 holes of golf, a golf cart, and dinner provided by ChefB-BBQ. The golf outing is open to the public. The public can also purchase tickets for the share-the-pot raffle.
