From Goshen High School

On Wednesday, March 6, 2024, Goshen High School students attended the Junior Achievement program, Inspire to Hire, at the Northern Kentucky Convention Center. This event aimed to cultivate students’ interest in their future careers by providing them with a firsthand exploration of various professional pathways.

Throughout the day, students had the opportunity to learn about in-demand jobs and engage with professionals and skilled tradespeople. These experts shared insights into their careers and offered guidance on the qualifications needed to succeed in their fields.

Inspire to Hire stands out for its hands-on approach, allowing students to gain practical experiences and understand the real-world applications of their academic pursuits. By interacting directly with professionals, students were able to envision themselves in various roles and make more informed decisions about their future paths.

Additionally, students could sign up for interviews with exhibiting companies, adding a practical dimension to their exploration of potential careers. This initiative reflects Goshen High School’s commitment to preparing students for success beyond graduation.

Through events like Inspire to Hire, we aim to empower our students and support them in their journey towards excellence. Stay tuned for more opportunities to inspire and guide our students as they navigate their futures.

Last week, students from Goshen Middle School had the exciting opportunity to attend the Inspire to Hire event at the Northern Kentucky Convention Center. This interactive career expo was designed to ignite our students’ passion for their future careers by providing hands-on experiences and valuable insights into various professions.

During the event, our students had the chance to explore over 50 career opportunities presented by local employers. From trying their hands at in-demand jobs to meeting professionals and skilled tradespeople, our students gained invaluable knowledge about different career paths and what it takes to excel in them.

Inspire to Hire wasn’t just about showcasing career options; it was also about helping our students make meaningful connections with adults in their desired fields. By interacting with professionals, our students learned about the skills and education required for success in different careers, helping them make informed decisions about their future pathways.

This event was a fantastic opportunity for our students to gain insight into various career clusters, understand the connection between their high school choices and future careers, and practice essential soft skills needed for success in the workforce.

We are incredibly proud of our students for actively participating in such a valuable event and for their enthusiasm in exploring their future possibilities.
