Serious injuries were reported after a two-vehicle crash that happened in Tate Township on Dec. 8.
The crash occurred at about 10:15 p.m. on state Route 125 at South Bantam Road, according to the Batavia Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Christopher Edwards, 34, of Georgetown was driving a 2005 Buick Century northeast on South Bantam Road and failed to yield from a stop sign, according to a preliminary investigation.
The Buick hit a 2011 Chrysler Town & Country driven by Robin Scanlan, 50, of Bethel, as she was driving northwest on state Route 125.
After the impact, both vehicles continued off of the north edge of the roadway where they stopped.
Edwards sustained moderate injuries and was transported to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.
Scanlan sustained serious, non-life-threatening injuries and was flown to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.
Two juvenile passengers in Scanlan’s vehicle sustained minor injuries and were transported to a local hospital.
Bethel-Tate Fire and EMS, Clermont County Sheriff’s Office, UC Health Air Care, and Tarvin’s Towing assisted the Batavia Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
