With roughly 200 children involved with juvenile court and the foster care system in Clermont County right now, it is more essential than ever to support these children and the volunteers who work to serve them.

To support its mission of advocating for children experiencing abuse and neglect, CASA for Clermont Kids is putting on its annual fall gala, Harvesting Hope, on October 28 at the Holiday Inn Eastgate.

Event details: Harvesting Hope Fall Gala on Saturday, October 28 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at 4501 Eastgate Boulevard

This is a direct way to support the work of Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) volunteers while also being part of an exciting auction and nice dinner.

CASA volunteers are appointed by a judge to advocate for a child’s best interest in the court system. These volunteers are community members of all walks of life who not only commit to engage in the court system, but also directly help children who experience abuse and neglect.

Funds from the gala are needed for CASA for Clermont Kids to continue to grow to serve 100% of children in care. CASA for Clermont Kids needs your support to help fight child abuse and neglect.

CASA for Clermont Kids Executive Director Kalei Endenfield explains that every year, the organization highlights the wonderful work its volunteers are doing and creates an annual report to showcase that. This year, CASA for Clermont Kids will be giving two awards:

  • Pro-star Award to Marti Kleinfelter who is about to start her tenth year with the program and has tirelessly served 19 children in that time.
  • Rising Star Award to Dave Elberfeld who just joined the program during the pandemic but has done a tremendous job advocating for those he serves and making sure they get the permanency they deserve.
