Linda Dollenmeyer of Union Township.

I spent some time last night with my daughter Shea’s friend and her husband. They have been friends for a long time. They have become good friends of mine. I have told you I am getting ready to move and it is driving me crazy; packing, and deciding what to take to the new place and what to get rid of. Now they tell me I probably can’t get in until the last of September. So I will probably have to put my stuff in storage and find a place to sleep. I woke up in the middle of the night and thought—OH NO! What am I going to do with my Vett? When I mentioned this to our friends they immediately offered their garage and a bedroom! It almost made me cry. Of course, my girls will help. I mean, I’m 77. Why would they offer? Because they are “Friends!” And, good people.

I Googled “Friends” and guess what I got? The TV show “Friends.” You remember; six friends, very different, drove each other crazy, but loved each other and took care of each other. I have many friends, I told you about my friends from high school. I made friends in the jobs I worked. My sisters are my friends. My neighbors are friends. I am very blessed with my friends.

The dictionary says “A friend is one attached to another by affection or esteem.” I am attached to my friends by both! I hope you have been blessed with friends. Be good to them. Thank them, Love them. ‘Till the next time. Bye, Friends!
