Well, the fair is here again. As you know I go to the church across the street from the main entrance. We park cars for donations. People, people – please park in the right spots! It is hard when someone gets blocked in.
The fair parade lasted for nearly an hour. It was hot! But fun! Lots of candy was thrown out for the kids, big or little! Wednesday night was truck and tractor pull. The place was packed. Tonight (Thursday) is the Rodeo. I except packed again. Friday is a concert. Saturday night is THE Demolition Derby! Yeah! Lots of crashing and lots of noise!
The Fair has been great already, but my memories are of long ago when I lived across the street and climbed through the fence, or My Aunt Ethel who was a ticket taker and let me in. The fair was a great place for a date. I think it still is. I have seen a lot of hand-holding. That’s what you do at the fair. Walk around and hold hands; well, you can find a quiet place, a barn, or under the grandstand, and get a great smoochie!!! LOL! Been there done that! Today, July 27, would have been Richard’s 75th birthday. We had a lot of good times at the fair. Both lived close to Owensville, both went to CNE. So I guess it was meant to be.
Anyway, have a great time at the fair. Hold hands-even get a kiss! God Bless!
