Linda Dollenmeyer of Union Township.

After 48 years in a bi-level three-bedroom, two-bath house, I have decided to move. I will be going into a brand new condo at Billingsley. So, there is 48 years of stuff to get rid of. Geez Louise. I have already had the junk from under my deck, and all the stuff from my shed hauled away. It was a lot of JUNK!! How does one person gather so much stuff? My daughters have been helping to clean out the house and getting it ready to sell. We found stuff I didn’t even know I had. I collected McCoy Pottery, lots of jars of stuff, craft supplies, books, and fall and Christmas decorations. You name it. I figured out that I would get stuff on sale after the holiday to use the next year. I sure did find a lot with the price tags still on them. My sisters took some stuff and my niece took some stuff. My niece’s husband is a junkie like me and he took some of my wooden boxes. My niece is taking most of the quilts I have. They were our grandmothers. Very old. We had a garage sale last Saturday. Well, it rained for two hours. I got rid of a lot of junk but not all. At the end of the day, we just sat it in the driveway with a sign that said “FREE!” Wow did they come and get it. One bunch of people came and filled a van two times. They were thrilled. Better their house than mine! I guess I should be sad all this stuff is going. But it’s time! The condo is open and light with lots of room. It will be fun buying NEW STUFF! Get rid of the stuff now. God Bless!!
