Promont House museum will be decorated in period style beginning in early November. “An Elegant Victorian Family Christmas” will include Victorian natural motifs featuring fruit, pinecones, and natural elements elegantly paired with period décor and ornamentation.
The home is open year-round for tours on the first, third, and fifth Sundays, 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. for docent-led tours. However, during the month of December, the home is open every Sunday except Christmas day, 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. to better highlight the décor. Tours will be more self-guided. December tours will also feature free hot chocolate and treats.
In addition, four open traditional teas are offered during December. Tickets can be purchased online at www.milfordhistory.net, via Eventbrite, or in person at Promont House for teas on December 3rd, 7th, 11th, and 13th. Teas are generally recommended for adults and older children.
