Clermont County Department for Developmental Disabilities Director for Community Relations honored with Rotary International’s Paul Harris Fellow

Longtime Williamsburg resident, Lisa Davis was recently honored with Rotary International’s highest award for community service, the Paul Harris Fellow. Lisa works full time as the Director for Community Relations at the Clermont County Department for Developmental Disabilities, where she coordinates over 250 volunteers at service programs that help our disabled citizens to thrive on their own terms. But Lisa’s involvement in community service extends far beyond her duties at work. She currently serves as the District Commissioner for the Eastfork District’s Boy Scouts of America where her superior communication skills are instrumental in promoting the impact of Scouting. She also serves on the Executive Committee of the local Safety Net Alliance which provides emergency assistance to the needy in areas such as utility and rent payments. Lisa is passionate about breaking the cycle of poverty and through her service as a board member at Clermont County Community Services, she helps coordinate a broad cross section of agencies that enhance the mental health and general quality of life in the local area. As the Public Relations Chairperson of the Batavia Rotary Club, Lisa is instrumental in publicizing fund-raising and public awareness events. Most recently, her assistance with the Rotary’s Veteran Appreciation Luncheon helped create awareness about the Hillsboro organization, Save A Warrior, which has a near 100 percent success rate in suicide prevention. According to Rotary President Allan Shropshire: “Lisa is a tireless servant leader in our community whose intimate involvement with local service organizations helps the Rotary determine how best we can serve our neighbors in need. We thought it was important to recognize Lisa with this award at a luncheon where the heads of organizations and the politicians that she works with could publicly acknowledge and thank her for all that she does.”
