Dr. Keith Mask currently serves as Professor and Program Director of the Family Sciences Program at Free-Hardeman University in Henderson, Tennessee. In addition, he teaches in the graduate counseling classes and doctoral programs at Freed-Hardeman.

Keith also served as Professor and Department Chair for the Psychology and Family Studies Department at Howard Payne University in Brownwood, Texas for 12 years. He previously taught at Lubbock Christian University and Harding Graduate School of Theology in Memphis. Through the years, Dr. Mask has taught a wide range of undergraduate and graduate courses in Marital and Family Studies, Parenting, Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, Family Like Ministry, Christian Formation, and Congregational Ministry. Dr. Mask’s academic training mirrors and supports his work in both Christian higher education and congregational ministry. He earned a Bachelor’s degree (Bible) and two Master’s degrees (one in Marriage and Family Therapy and the other in Religious Education) from Abilene Christian University. Keith earned his Ph.D. in Family Studies from Texas Woman’s University in 2004. He is a Certified Family Life Educator and a member of various professional organizations, including the National Council on Family Relations.

On more of a personal note, Keith has been married to his best friend, Elizabeth, for 38 years. They have two children: Hannah (an accountant who lives in Austin) and Graham (a healthcare business development specialist who lives in Dallas).
