Connie Piening from Cincinnati, Ohio was diagnosed with lupus in 2007 which led to her diagnosis of chronic kidney disease in September of 2017.

This debilitating condition has made her daily activities very difficult. Connie is 72-years-old, a wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother. In 2012, Connie lost her mother and started helping her brother take care of their other handicapped brother, but she doesn’t have the strength to help any longer.

In October of 2019, Connie’s husband had a stroke, which added additional stress. Connie has been on dialysis for three years and does dialysis every night for 12 hours, but dialysis is not a lifesaver; she needs a transplant and time is of the essence due to her age. This disease is slowly taking away time with her family and she is very much needed at home to take care of her loved ones.

The wait list for a deceased donor is long, and Connie needs an angel to give her the gift of life. That is why I humbly ask that you please get her story out by sharing and encouraging others to share Connie’s story as well.

Connie needs blood type 0 and she is listed at Christ Hospital, 2139 Auburn Avenue, Cincinnati, OH.

Please call Paula Frankhauser, Transplant Coordinator, at 513-585-1427 and tell her you’d like to be a donor for Connie Piening. Paula will ask you some questions and direct you from that point on.

Please help Connie she needs you.

Thank you for your support.
