Clarence Verner “Vern” Jones, formerly of Amelia, Ohio passed away at his home on November 8, 2019 at the age of 68.
He is survived by brother Dan, sister Penny, and children Vanessa, Tanya, and Daniel.
He earned the nickname “sunshine” for his sunny disposition at the Hamilton County Board of Developmental Disabilities where he worked as an Adaptive Engineer, giving those with disabilities the opportunity to earn a living and a better life.
He was a car buff that loved classic American muscle cars but never drove one because he rebuilt them for everyone but himself. This mountain of a man loved kids and all four legged friends.
He was many things – a builder, a genius, a hard worker, a prolific reader, a father, a grandfather and a good man.
He will be dearly missed. A celebration of life will be held at the American Legion, 137 E Main St in Amelia, OH from 1:00 – 4:00 on December 1st, 2019.
