The Batavia Patrol Post, with assistance from the Clermont County Sheriff’s Office and Ohio Department of Transportation, conducted an OVI checkpoint on July 12, 2019 from 10:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. on State Route 125 in Union Township, Clermont County.
A total of 516 vehicles were checked with three drivers being diverted. three drivers were subsequently arrested and charged with operating a vehicle while impaired.
Two additional drivers were arrested for impaired driving by saturation units.
Federal grant money supported the OVI checkpoint and saturation patrols.
